MLB Trivia: 25 Jacks X 8

There are only two active MLB players who have hit at least 25 homers in each of their first 8 seasons. One of those players is Albert Pujols. Can you name the other?

Miggy Cabrera.

Miggy was a good guess, Pauly. This is his 8th season, and he's hit 25+ homers in all of them except his first (12 homers in 87 games).

This past Sunday night Mark Teixeira hit his 25th homer of the season, giving him 25+ homers in each of his first 8 seasons. Only four players in major league history have done that.

miggy would have had it if he played a full year in 2003. But I guess he will take the ring instead!

Yeah, Pauly, I'm sure Miggy would rather have the ring. No shame in saying your first season you played just 87 games, hit 12 jacks, and won one ring.

Now what Pujols is doing is just unbelievable. He's in his 10th season. Tonight he hit his 30th homer, meaning he's hit 30+ all 10 seasons. He's also on pace for 100+ RBI, which would be another milestone he's reached all 10 years. He really is a machine!

I thought for sure that Dunn had done that, as well. But it looks like he only had 19 his rookie year.

Speaking of Dunn, is there another hitter in the MLB who is more underrated? I suppose part of it is that he's never played on a winner, but still, for a guy who hits 40 homers with a .380+ OBP just about every year, he seems to get little respect.
