The Chicago Cubs record this season has been 1-1, 2-2, 3-3, 4-4, 5-5, 6-6, 7-7, 8-8, 9-9, and 10-10. This has never happened before in major league history.



April 17

On this day in baseball history in 1929: Babe Ruth and actress Claire Hodgson are married at 5:00 AM to avoid crowds. The next day, in his first at bat against Red Ruffing, the Babe will hit a home run. Rounding second base he'll doff his cap to Claire.
