MLB Trivia: MVP! MVP!

Earlier this season, Brian McCann won the All-Star Game MVP award. Right now in early September we're about halfway between the All-Star Game and the World Series. If McCann is somehow able to win the World Series MVP award this year, he would become the second player in MLB history to collect MVP honors for both the All-Star Game and the World Series in the same season. Can you name the first player to accomplish this feat? (Hint: This player is still active.)

The only major leaguer to win the All-Star MVP and World Series MVP in the same season was Derek Jeter in 2000.

Pauly, I'm guessing Jeff Conine is the one you remember. And wow, hard to believe that's already been 15 years!

As for next week's question, I will try to tone down the difficulty a bit.
